1. Hunger Games Movie Marathon for Teens

Get ready for The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by rewatching some of the original movies. Stop by Teen Central at the Sayville Library for snacks and drinks anytime during this marathon! The Hunger Games movie series movies are rated PG-13. Grades 6-12, November 9th, 3-8:30 pm. FREE.

2. Mystical Creatures Family Program

Come learn all about mystical creatures on this unique night hike! We'll be looking for traces of them with a fun scavenger hunt for all to enjoy! Bring a flashlight and your imagination! November 10th, 7-8 pm. $4 per person.

3. Saturday Storytime

Join in for a weekly Storytime featuring one of Barnes and Noble's booksellers reading aloud old and new favorite picture books. November 11th, 11 am. FREE.

4. Yoga for Kids!

Yoga for Kids at Fox Dog Yoga in East Islip is open for ages 4-11. In this 45 minute class, kids are introduced to the basic concepts of mindfulness and will be encouraged to explore the connection between their minds, bodies, and breath. We'll play games, read books, and move through fun, new poses and flows. November 12th, 10-10:45 am. $15 drop-in.

5. The Sinking of the Steamboat at Lexington - Long Island's Worst Maritime Disaster

On Nov. 14th, 7-9 pm, the Historical Society of Islip Hamlet will host author Bill Bleyer as he discusses his book, "The Sinking of the Steamboat Lexington on Long Island Sound". The most luxurious steamboat caught fire in Jan. 1840; only 4 among the almost 150 on board survived. The wreck was rediscovered by a team of divers in 1983.  The program will detail the story of the steamboat from its construction to its demise. FREE.
